The Robens Chinook Ursa PRS is based on the much-loved Polycotton version in Robens Outback range. One of the biggest benefits of the Ursa model is its flexibility to allow the outside in and PRS version is no exception. The front of the Chinook can be unzipped and the original ‘A’ frame can be separated to give you three upright poles, each pole then props up a corner of the front increasing headroom and providing a cover away from the rain. The PRS uses a HydroTex 75D Rip-Stop material with a 5,000mm HH waterproof rating. As the tent is polyester it dries quicker than its Outback counterpart, meaning that its less hassle when packing away wet or getting it back out to dry after a week/weekend away.

At the top of the tipi there is an opening to allow a wood burner stove flue, so you can still get that ‘off grid’ feel. There is an also an Apex ventilation point which can be opened and closed from down below, so you can adapt your airflow when the weather turns. A strong Oxford Polyester groundsheet can be easily zipped out to be cleaned or removed. A unique feature of the PRS range is a constellation map which is printed on the groundsheet to help you explore the nights sky.

All of the pegging points on the tent feature adjustable pegging loops and alloy buckles to make adjusting the tent a doddle. Throughout the tent Robens have reinforced all of the guylines to ensure the quality is up to scratch and large lower vents help airflow while giving you a bug free night. The front door also features a full mesh door so you can get a great view out of the tent at night without the insects coming in.

The Robens Chinook Ursa PRS is a great modern twist on a traditional tipi design and with the added bonus of the rip-stop material it makes it more affordable without losing any practicality.
